As I continue listening to progressive radio and news, i can get depressed and frustrated. Sometimes I have to turn it off. I had a feeling last week that almost made me nauseous when I heard about the statuses of the wealthy and things that are being done to the poor. An example is Wal Mart decreasing insurance options for their employees, as in requiring more hours to get insurance. Let's talk about how much Wal-Mart owns. I am hoping for the recall of Governor Scott Walker and the
repeal of the Ohio bill to get rid of collective bargaining.

Insanity Continues!
Hi, how is everyone. I am less frustrated today because I have not listened to the news lately - a situation which can make me feel powerless. I am saddened by the tornado losses and damage here in the US. I will try to donate some funds, although I know that is such a small thing to do. But if you believe in changing the universe a positive thought at a time, perhaps I am helping by caring. I find one of my preferable donation options is giving money to our local food bank as I feel it is money spent well. Helping locally and less loss of fund to administration costs. I also do not prefer religious organizations. Believe it or not, one of local "rescue missions" requires a commitment to accept "Jesus as your savior and Lord" before you volunteer or accept their offerings. Sorry - this is not okay with me. So, I am careful. Plus I hate to waste a lot of money with administrative costs.
I will continue to look forward for a better world and enhancement of the blessings we have had in our country. Not all the negative junk.

Commentaries!
Back to sound off. How many of you are frustrated with all that is going on in the country? Yikes. I have to withdraw from the news programs - Note - I watch progressive TV and listen to progressive radio. I find them getting disturbing - I believe them and think they are correct - it makes sense with what I know and see, but it gets overwhelming. All this negative activity and nothing I can do about it. One of the reasons I am writing this - to get out the word and express frustrations. Afterall, I am one of those "working class" that is getting lost, deprived, ripped off by this country. I am sick of hearing about the Koch brothers and would love to see them arrested without access to their lawyers and money. I love that the Wisconsin people have succeeded at getting the signatures to recall 4 republican senators. WONDERFUL! Democracy in action. About time. I did live during the 60's and watched rebellion. Also, the Franklin Roosevelt era of taking care of the citizens of the United States. I don't know why the republicans now want us to go back to the 1800's where the middle and lower class have no rights and no options.
I mean, let's get rid of medicare so anyone over 65 with health problems can just deal with it until it gets the best of them. I have high blood pressure. Without health care, I could not afford medication. I would live with high blood pressure that would wear on my body and perhaps cause a stroke. Then put me in a nursing home for the poor where I just die, or I never even make it to the nursing home. Go republicans. Go Paul Ryan.

yikes, I can't stand all the craziness!
I know. Perhaps I should quit watching all the media, because I do believe that the more they report and incite strong emotions, the more they receive viewers. But I've never been into gossip and watching "train accidents", so to speak. I do enjoy watching news from the perspective of information, learning, and receiving validation for my thoughts. I know they are concerned about what is happening in the world, but some things are so slanted. It is horrendous sometimes. And the people are not the smartest people in the schoolhouse, let me tell you. I am not the smartest person out there, but when I don't know something, I keep my mouth shut and listen. Not true for some people, however. Some of the women, such as Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman, need to keep their mouths shut more often. It is embarrassing. It's also true that there are men in that same category.
But we did survive the G.W.Bush era - I don't know how - but there was a lot of damage from that, including Iraq, Afghanistan, the huge foreclosure market, the fall of Wall Street, unemployment, the deficit - so maybe we didn't survive G.W. afterall.
I do love the way they blame Obama for the issues created during Bush's 8 years.
But words are words and they can create a lot of damage and brain-washing. I guess that's why I'm writing about my frustrations. I feel like I can do a little. I am currently working 2 jobs, so this may get neglected until the insanity out there is more than I can understand. You know, I am one of those wealthy union employees having the taxpayers and the government paying for all my benefits. NOT! Please don't believe that stuff.
